Tom Seaver’s Collection Now On Display At National Baseball Hall Of Fame And Museum

Class of 1992 Inductee Donated Dozens of Artifacts to Museum

(COOPERSTOWN, NY) – As the Hall of Fame prepares to honor the Class of 2026 members, one of their legendary teammates will continue his legacy in Cooperstown.

Class of 1992 inductee Tom Seaver left much of his personal collection to the Hall of Fame when he passed away in 2020. The Museum will display some of the dozens of pieces of his collection in a display that is now open in the Museum.

One of the faces of baseball during the 1970s, Seaver compiled 311 victories, 3,640 strikeouts, and three National League Cy Young Awards during a 20-year career with the Mets, Reds, White Sox, and Red Sox. When he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1992, he garnered 98.8 percent of the vote from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America – which at the time was the highest percentage of the vote in the history of the BBWAA balloting.
